Meg + Chris

August 16, 2013

What a day! Meghan and Chris were married at the top of Loon Mountain, where they first met and fell in love – how romantic is that?! From the 72 and sunny weather to the family details and incessant smiles from literally every person at the wedding – it was one of the best weddings I’ve ever been privilege to be part of. Every little detail down to the drinks that were served had intention and heartfelt meaning to it, which you can read about as you browse through the images. And how could I forget – the most incredible first dance (man, those two can dance – I want to throw a party and invite them just to watch them dance!), the original, emotional mother/son song written by the groom’s brother, and the hilarious father/daughter dance that involved at least 4 songs, sunglasses and maybe some fist pumping(!?) it was a hoot, and testament to the close relationships. I could go on and on, but let’s let the pictures tell the rest! Enjoy!

Meg and her sister Melissa aka “Bad Barbie” prepped for the day at the Mountain Club at Loon directly next door to the ski resort itself. Meg’s fabulous shoes are by RSVP – this was just one pair, but my favorite!

Meg’s mom brought along her own wedding dress. She used one lace sleeve from her dress to wrap Meg’s bridal bouquet – it was a perfect fit, and very emotional; the other sleeve will go to Meg’s sister when it’s her turn to marry. Such a beautiful gesture from a mother to her daughters.

The fabulous hats were purchased through Amazon, inspired by Chris’s brother Todd …and the character Belloq from Indian Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

All the wood signs and birch holders at the reception were hand made by Meg’s dad.

Norwood’s Dairy was owned by Chris’ father and grandfather in the 1960s. It was a dairy farm that delivered milk door to door and often kitchen to kitchen. In the ceremony, Meg & Chris used the dairy bottles and the ice chests for flower vases. The “ice chests” were the ones that people left on their porches to be filled with dairy goods each day.
