Valentine’s Mini Portraits are Here! (Dover, NH portrait photographer)

WELCOME!

Please plan to arrive with enough time to park and get into the Noggin Factory‘s back play area (where Santa is every holiday season). Keep in mind that you will be navigating through the toy store to get to the back, so try to plan appropriately for what your child/children need to do that successfully – I’m very supportive of healthy bribing when it comes to portrait sessions with young kids!

The set is going to be a plain white backdrop which, in it’s simplicity, will allow for your children to be photographed without the busyness of life. Pure and simple. I will be providing a chair as well as simple Valentine’s props for you/them to choose from.

As for what they should wear…it really is up to you!

There are two routes to go:

          a. Let them dress themselves, document them how they are now, in their favorite superhero T and mismatched socks. Maybe just brush their hair.

          b. Curate an outfit that you love to see them in because, after all, you don’t get professional pictures often enough and you want an excuse to buy an adorable outfit!

My point is, there is no bad choice! Comfortable kids are happy kids!

A fantastic local resource for unique kids apparel and accessories is The Wishing Elephant, check out Carolyn’s shop – she’s located right in Somersworth!

My other favorite shop for GORG kids clothing is Baby Go Round in Hampton Falls – if you haven’t been there GO ASAP! Owners Jessica and Cindy are sweet and helpful!

If you’re looking for some color, here are the Pantone Spring 2018 color trends, which I LOVE! That violet! That cherry red! If possible, stay away from  florescent colors and loud, clashing patterns.

Other than that, just be sure to bring a snack that is not super messy and be ready to be a goofball – kids always loosen up when mama is relaxed and having fun!

I’m here if you have any questions – call, text, email anytime!
